Who is this guy?
My name is Van Markiton, and I'm a professional music maker from Atlanta, GA. I produce, engineer and make my own music from time to time. about 5 years ago, I went into the studio to record my first single. I saw my producer Tim editing my vocals and was blown away. I HAD to know how he did it, so he taught me. Now I'm helping artists like you get the project they imagined as a little kid. I work with dream pop, shoe gaze, midwest emo, cinematic pop and post punk artists routinely and love building tracks from the ground up on my laptop or live in the room with a band in the creatively nurturing environment of Electron Gardens. No matter what you're looking for, I have the tools, resources, and knowledge to get you where you want to go and I'm confident you're gonna love the journey.
The Process
PlanningWhether I am producing, mixing, or mastering, the first step is always careful planning. We go over your goals, expectations and references in order to come up with ideas and a game plan that gets you where you want to go.

ExecutionThis is the fun part. We get to be creative and try to push the boundaries to achieve the most sonically intriguing song or record that is humanly possible. We're going to work hard, but you're gonna love it, because it's the right way to create.

Testimonials
As a Producer, Van brings the total package: a phenomenal ear, deep engineering chops, and incredible arrangement skills. But the X factor that sets Van apart is his emotional intelligence --his innate understanding of the journey both an artist and their song must take to resonate with an audience. You can put your trust in Van to find the emotional core and arc of a song. Van can draw the essence out to beautiful, inspired or even raucous effect. He’s awesome.
